Our Story
Where we came from...
J14 Texas is not a new business. The founder and CEO has been in the business of technology for years, often consulting and offering advice outside of his standard job. 5 Years ago he started freelancing as a way to learn and grow in both his technical and customer experience knowledge. What he learned sparked a desire to help businesses reach their success, while also preserving their legacy. Far too often when the original owner wants out the new owner wants change. Hence our stance on preserving legacy. In 2024 J14 Texas opened as an embodiement of that spark.
Why J14?
J14 refers to chapter 14 from the Gospel of John (John 14 -> J14). In this chapter Jesus is comforting His disciples, revealing He is The Christ (the way, the truth, and the life), and promising the presence of the Holy Spirit. This chapter focuses on peace, not just in that moment but forever. Our founder and CEO has always loved this specific chapter of John, it is a reminder that even in rough times God's love still shines through and He continues to provide us peace and comfort.
A word from the founder and CEO:
"I love what I do, plain and simple. From a young age I have been interested in Technology, I mean seriously interested. In early middle school I actually kept a computer server in my closet to store files and websites. Yes, I was doing this in my early teens before it was popular. In my teens I became interested in customer service, specifically how businesses treated their customers and how it was changing. In my career I have worked in both technology and customer experience. I love both of these fields and feel passionately about them. Technology can absolutely turn a business around and streamline so many processes. People, whether customers or team members, are the heart and soul of business. Business is more than work for me, I genuinely want to change the world."
